Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory of materials and products is in accordance with the ABC inventory cycle counting process. The Inventory Analyst acts as a Team Lead for the Cycle Count team responsible for performing ABC cycle counts. Additionally, this person reviews and reports inventory accuracy and inventory management programs such as cycle counts and periodic physicals to ensure compliance with our SOPs. The Analyst is the primary contact for inventory issues at all warehouses, 3rd party logistics and consignment locations. The Analyst monitors inventory trends and provides feedback and analytical support to planning team and other organizations (for example S block or Q hold reporting, 3rd party vendor inventory reporting, etc.).

Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for reporting accuracy and reconciling of finished goods, raw materials and component inventories at multiple warehouse locations. Develops, revises and maintains inventory management programs such as the cycle count program, expired product controls and periodic physical inventories. Provides recommendations for deployment, accuracy and/or disposal of inventories Executes approved MDRs (Material Disposal Requests) and coordinates physical disposition with the warehouse. Also, coordinates disposition and rework of inventory at 3rd party warehouses. Collects and reports performance for inventory deployment, accuracy, and disposition. Maintains all records for inventory management programs. Works with finance to ensure compliance for all North American sites. Coordinate and complete inventory reports on time. This includes MDR process updates, cycle count summaries, inventory summaries, and E&O reports. Interacts with personnel across domestic and international sites, regarding disposition of products, accuracy or inventory, etc. Leads projects, as necessary, to achieve inventory objectives. Evaluates inventory discrepancies and works with operations/warehouse team on root cause/corrective action.


Requires a four-year degree and 5 years’ experience in inventory control. Exceptions can be granted to a candidate with experience in a materials management, warehousing, or distribution environment. A minimum of 2 years in experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (SAP experience preferred). Intermediate skills in MS-Office tools (particularly Excel charting, data sorting, filtering, pivot-tables, look-up, etc). Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written skills are required. Must possess analytic skills for inventory management. Experience in project planning a plus.
