*Dohrn is currently seeking a Warranty Specialist.

Purpose*

To oversee warranty repair reimbursements and coordinate return of parts from vendors and Dohrn Shops. Maximize our warranty return revenue on repairs done in our shops and at vendors.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee parts returns for all warranty repairs done at non-manufacturer repair facilities

  • Monitor workorders in Dohrn shops to ensure procedures are followed to retrieve maximum warranty reimbursement

  • Access manufacturer websites to determine warranty coverage on repairs at vendors and in house

  • Check history of repairs on equipment at vendors to determine any aftermarket parts warranties available

  • Communicate directly with the vendor on Warranty repairs as needed

  • Manage tracking and receiving of Vendor-Replaced parts back to DMDC

  • Review Parts Tags weekly to determine parts return status to DMDC from all outside shop locations

  • Perform other duties as needed

  • Minimum Requirements*

  • High School completion or equivalent

  • Valid Driver License

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Mechanical/Technical fleet maintenance background

  • Verbal and written communication skills essential for internal and external customers

  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to multi-task and react to change productively

  • Excellent attendance

  • Outstanding organizational, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required to communicate effectively with outside terminals, vendors, and customers

  • Must possess strong typing and 10-key skills; Minimum of 35 wpm is required

  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task

  • Working Conditions/Physical Demands*

  • Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time. Walking or standing are only required occasionally

  • May require travel to regional shop locations. Weekend and night hours occasionally required.

  • Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others.

  • The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise and dust
