Kaiser Permanente Senior Learning and Organization Effectiveness Consultant - Rockville Regional Office in Rockville, Maryland

Provides direction and coaches leaders, implementation teams, and LOE consultants to develop, implement, and sustain large scale change initiatives and strategic activities in the region.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Executive Team members to develop functional OE strategies.

  • Guide work of LOE Consultants to support strategic functional OE plans.

  • Lead Regional OE projects

  • Utilize organizational effectiveness tools to identify and implement methods and techniques that will ensure implementation of large regional projects.

  • Develop leaders and teams to identify innovative solutions. Use systems thinking to develop solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Develop leaders, team members and other employees throughout the organization in problem solving skills, interpersonal capabilities, and change management strategies. Identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training plans to fill these gaps.

  • With project sponsor, lead change activities in region by coaching leaders during strategic planning, large scale implementations, and organizational cultural change.

  • Provide expertise and coaching support to leaders as they develop and implement their own development plans and to the regional leadership to ensure strong succession planning activities.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a healthcare consulting or management/strategy consulting environment required.

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience coaching and consulting to Executive leaders (VP level).


  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference in organization development, adult learning, human resources, business, management, healthcare administration or a related field.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate large groups.

  • Recognize and work effectively in complex, political, and ambiguous situations.

  • Use organization and personal influence strategies to encourage desired behavior among those involved to reach goals of consulting engagement.

  • Skill and experience in leadership effectiveness and culture change.

  • Ability to engage senior leaders in strategic OD discussions.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Master's degree prepared candidate preferred.
