This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a Organizational Development Technician.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Develop, facilitate and administer training curriculum to new and existing employees. Leverages training technologies and standardized work as well as evaluate training needs and effectiveness of training.

  • Facilitate training sessions and serve as a coach and mentor to colleagues

  • Maintain training records for individuals and the organization

  • Maintain training calendar and catalog of lesson plans and master training files

  • Administer and maintain New Employee Orientation programs for both exempt and non-exempt employees

  • Arrange meeting spaces, online training, and prepare training materials for scheduled sessions

  • Identify Cummins Leaning Center content that can be delivered to employees as part of core new employee orientation or continuing education/skill development

  • Counsel existing employees on career aspirations and individual development opportunities

  • Support community workforce development programs

  • Develop subject matter lesson plans and instructional content for courses identified

  • Develop testing criteria to validate effectiveness of training and individual skill comprehension

  • Technical Training role responsible specifically for delivery and leadership of specific modules including but not limited to the following: ▪ Engine Build Familiarization ▪ Assembly Key Processes ▪ Machining Process and Product Training ▪ Diesel Engine Fundamentals ▪ A3 Problem Solving ▪ Manpower Skills Training ▪ Plant Tours


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

  • Minimum 2 year associate degree in discipline of Automotive Technology, Diesel Engine Technology or Technical related field of Engineering

  • 4 Year degree preferred

This position will report to 1st shift

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience
