CACI International Jr. Systems Administrator in Rome, New York
CACI in Rome, NY provides software development expertise to the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, supporting R&D efforts spanning space command and control, advanced visualization, and malware detection and mitigation. We are seeking a Junior System Administrator to provide desktop, server, and network infrastructure support in a multi-platform software development environment.
As a Junior Sysadmin, you will:
Provide hands-on user support for our developers and engineers
Install, configure and maintain desktops and laptops
Support remote access for our distance workers
Assist with the administration of Linux and Windows servers
Work with other administrators to design, implement, manage and troubleshoot our network and services
Technology you will work with:
VMware vSphere, ESX, vCenter
Microsoft Windows 10, Ubuntu and Ret Hat Linux, macOS, OpenBSD
Gitlab, Redmine, Jenkins
LDAP, CIFS, NFS, DNS, DHCP, SSH, NTP, TCP/IP
tcpdump, wireshark, kismet, nmap
OpenVPN, IPsec, SSL
These requirements must be met in order to be eligible:
A US citizen
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Experience with Linux and Windows System Administration as well as experience with technologies listed.
Able and eligible to acquire certifications, such as A+, Security+, CISSP, Linux+, MCSE (needed for DoD 8570 compliance as detailed in http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/857001m.pdf)
Able to work on computers for long periods
Able to communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
