CACI International Software Build/Release Engineer in Rome, New York

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI helps the Air Force Research Laboratory explore, prototype, and demonstrate new technologies, enabling the Air Force to maintain its technological advantage. We are seeking a Software Build/Release Engineer to help us improve the speed and consistency of our software deliveries.

As a Software Build/Release Engineer, you will:

  • Oversee and maintain our software build/test/release ecosystem

  • Ensure that software builds happen predictably, consistently and responsively

  • Track and tag software releases in source code control and appropriate issue-tracking systems

  • Support code reviews and design workshops, providing input on integration of software unit and functional tests at build time

  • Identify and implement improved build and release tools, techniques and procedures

Technologies we use:

  • Jenkins

  • Git, Jira

  • Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AngularJS, Hibernate, PostgreSQL

You’ll need to meet these requirements to be eligible:

  • US Citizenship

  • Available to work in-person at our facilities in Rome, NY

  • Able to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance

  • Able to work in an office environment, including using computers for long periods of time and communicating with others face-to-face, by telephone, or email.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field

  • Five or more years’ experience configuring and maintaining automated continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, Eclipse Hudson, GitLab CI, or Atlassian Bamboo

  • Experience with software source code management systems such as Git, Mercurial or Subversion

  • Experience with software issue management systems such as GitLab, Jira or Bugzilla

Extra consideration will be given to candidates who have:

  • An active DoD security clearance

  • Linux system administration experience

  • Experience with software development in Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python, or related programming language
