Compensation Strategies Senior Consultant

Deloitte Consulting s Government and Public Services(GPS) Human Capital practice is a leading advisor and implementation partnerworking with federal, state and local governments, agencies and serviceorganizations across the country. Work you ll do

As a Deloitte Consulting Compensation Strategies SeniorConsultant in the Workforce Transformation practice, you will perform thefollowing job responsibilities:

Lead total cashcompensation studies for a variety of public sector clients (federal, state,local and higher education organizations)

Collaborate with clients to conduct compensation value and programdesign benchmark studies

Help clients participate in published compensation surveys

Participate in the design of merit pay, salary ranges/structures,incentive/bonus compensation plans, andrecognitionprograms

Model the financial impact of compensation plans in support ofcompensation plan analysis and design

Help to lead job architecture projects focused on the design andstructure of job titles and levels and the connection to pay program design

Prepareclient reports, including exhibits and summaries

On occasion, contribute to projects focusing on the design ofperformance management and employee health and welfare benefit plans to addresstheir impact on compensation programs

Participate in marketing initiatives; conduct compensation programdesign surveys, write client project proposals, and write white papers andPoints of Views on various compensation program and reward topics

Helpto lead the preparation of internal and external presentation materials onvarious compensation and reward topics in support of the CompensationStrategies practice

Help to train and develop junior staff

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree

5years of experience in compensation in the public or private sector with 3years of public sector compensation experience or a compensation consultingbackground working with public sector entities or private sector companies

Strongknowledge of compensation surveys, custom survey design and statisticalanalysis, incentive plan design and analysis, job evaluation methodologies andpay structure analysis and design

Experiencemanaging mid-to-large sized data sets

Expertproficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experiencein a compensation consulting firm working on public sector compensationconsulting projects, or

5years of experience in public sector compensation role(s)
