Provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs nuclear medicine procedures, and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Experience: Required: One to two years' experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
License/Certifications: Required: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification board (NBTCB). Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as Medical Radiologic Technologist. Must have current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
Education: * Required: Graduate from AMA approved program for Radiologic Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine program or equivalent
