The Role

The Enterprise Compromised Data (ECD) team within Consumer Banking is responsible for leading the assessment, investigation, and mitigation of compromised data incidents across the Wells Fargo enterprise, including ensuring data breach notifications to government regulators and individuals are handled appropriately. This role will report directly to the Enterprise Compromised Data Leader and have oversight for the domestic incident response program for low, medium and high severity incidents, requiring a rapid response.

As a leader within the Enterprise Compromised Data team, you will be responsible for:

•Leading and directing two managers with teams of incident responders across multiple time zones covering 24/7/365, as well as two direct reports managing data analytics, regulatory and leadership reporting activities.

•As the ECD Leader’s alternate, you will be delegated the authority to coordinate, plan, and execute incident response activities, including leading the Data Compromise Team within the Enterprise Incident Coordination Center (EICC) for the Enterprise Cyber Incident Playbook.

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships work with leaders and team members at all levels across functional lines.

•Create and lead an after-hours on-call team rotation during the week and weekends 24/7/365.

•Work with technology on development operations, Software Developing Life Cycles (SDLC), problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, identity and access management, enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management and Data Management & Insights.

The ideal candidate will be a risk-focused leader who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment when responding to incidents. In addition the candidate should have an Information Security and/or Privacy Certification or obtain within 1 year of position acceptance.

Locations: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Tempe, AZ; Des Moines, IA; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA– position is remote/telecommute and will consider multiple locations

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 8+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 4+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • 3+ years of management experience
