Procurement Specialist, ODC Marketing & Business Operations

Preferred Qualifications

We’re looking for a procurement analyst to help grow the Global Moat team! You’ll be a power user of internal Oracle systems that allow Moat to thrive and conduct business rapidly while complying with all internal policies. This role will be integral to our success as it's responsible for the review and processing of transactional procurement requests. You’ll be heavily involved in special projects to support marketing initiatives with a special focus on events, broader business sourcing initiatives, AP, and Vendor Management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with critical business partners at both the line of business and corporate levels, fostering and maintaining key relationships with these teams: Global Finance, Source-to-Settle, P2P, Vendor Management, Corporate Meeting & Events and beyond!

Assist with cost management and budget reviews, ensuring accurate forecasts and creating operational processes that are transparent and efficient.

Responsible for the proper utilization of Oracle’s purchasing system; learning and adhering to corporate purchasing processes and policies.

Ensures timely and accurate processing of purchase requests, overseeing entire process from generation to payment of supplier.

Tracks purchases, monitors vendor invoices, and maintains a current database of purchase information, both present and historic.

Assists in training and coaching of new and current internal customers

Participate in other project-related activities & provide routine administrative support.

Day-to-day tasks: Raising requisitions, managing POs, reviewing and submitting invoices, Onboarding suppliers, processing contracts (shepherding contract review, collecting addendum T&Cs, etc)


Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience required

Experience, & Skills Required:

3 year’s minimum experience in an operational role around purchasing, sourcing, or finance.

History of operating in an ERP at a large, corporate (preferably public) organization

Experience with Oracle systems a major plus

Experience in Technology Procurement a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.
