Our new initiative in Log Analytics would provide a unified platform to search, browse, and analyze log data to deliver quick answers on structured and unstructured log data. As a senior member of our Log Analytics team you will lead the design and implementation of the core web services that are crucial for high-end user experience. You will solve complex and interesting problems in the area of distributed computing, high volume transaction processing, and large scale system design. Our success requires us to process over 30 billion log entries a day in a SaaS environment. You will have an opportunity to use leading edge mid-tier technologies and help design optimal user experience for our products. You are expected to have expert level knowledge of the technical domain and processes, and to mentor less experienced engineers in the team.
B.S, M.S, or Ph.D in Computer Science or equivalent
5 years' experience in the industry
Experience with web services
Programming language: Java
Strong communication skills, analytical skills
Must be a team player
Experience with open source technologies is a plus
Experience with statistical and data analysis is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
