store, process, and serve data to the market. Oracle Storage Servers are rapidly developing solutions for the data-hungry

market and play a major part in technologies like Cloud, Virtualization, Distributed Storage, etc. This is an exciting time to

work in Storage domain and solve interesting cloud scale challenges.


We are a team of highly technical and talented engineers that come from diverse backgrounds. We are currently

developing cutting edge disaster recovery technologies for our public cloud deployments. The development environment

is predominantly Unix/C system programming, and user interface development using Javascript. There are opportunities

for learning kernel programming, file system, storage, cloud technologies, and networking concepts. Our work involves a

deep understanding of storage systems and how components work together in that system.

As a senior member of this team, you will be responsible for the design and development of new features planned for each

release. You will also have opportunities to lead projects and a small team of junior engineers.

Ideal candidate should have some or all of the following:

Experience with Unix/C systems programming, XML, and Javascript

Tenacious analytical, problem solving and debugging skills

Ability to work and collaborate with a team that spans geographical locations

Self-motivated and quick learner willing to jump into the deep end to learn through experience

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
