Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk, and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hadoop Developer to develop and support Cyber Security projects within Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Security (EIS).

Primary Database Analyst 5 - Hadoop Developer responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement highly complex applications on Hadoop in support of Enterprise Information Security Continuous Monitoring.

  • Perform ETL of data from various Enterprise Information Security tools and data stores

  • Develop objects in Hive

  • Write Spark scripts to support reporting and analytics

  • Research and track new technologies, develop service applications, and analyze business requirements

  • System and data quality assurance and consistency

  • May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff

Location: This position is open to any core Wells Fargo location including telecommute.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of database design and administration experience

  • 7+ years of application development experience

  • 7+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience

  • 5+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop

  • 4+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners

  • 3+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map

  • 1+ year of Java experience

  • 3+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX experience
