Manages sales of Oracle consulting services.
Manages, through managers and directors, the activities of Consulting Sales organization in support of achieving sales objectives. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Networks and develops strong business relationships. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Manages escalations.
Strong leadership skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Industry experience. Able to develop executive level relationships. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. 10 years direct sales experience. Experience managing staff. Willing to travel regionally. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.

Public Sector Application Consulting Sales Senior Director - State & Local
This role will align to both growth and existing ORACLE Public Sector State & Local accounts and as a portion of the role will be managing the activities of Consulting Sales organization in support of achieving sales objectives. The Public Sector Application Consulting Sales Director will contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division as well as network and develop strong business relationships. They will be responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of the sales reps reporting into their organization. The Consulting Sales Senior Director will participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions as well as manage budgets and escalations.
Previous sales experience in Public Sector sales, State & Local government required.
This is a senior level, pursuit leadership role and requires a seasoned professional with varied career experiences including at least 5-10 years of ERP/CRM/APPS and/or Business Analytics services sales with a strong track record of new account development, territory building and quota performance
In this role, the successful candidate will assist the team in generating demand for Oracle's service offering, develop opportunity execution plans, identify key team members and resources needed to properly scope the project(s) to meet client needs and ORACLE business parameters, and manage the customer relationship(s) from initial discussions to close of deal.
This role will align to both growth and existing ORACLE Public Sector State & Local accounts and as a result, a key portion of the role will be focused on growing install base accounts, opening dormant accounts and growing a " book of business" in order to develop a strong revenue backlog and individual annuity. This role also includes territory planning, account development and lead generation which are critical components to success.
Preferred Experience in Public Sector sales, State & Local government, Higher Ed and Healthcare.
