Executes sound clinical business strategy that promotes service, relationships, and volume. Responsible for meeting internal procedural requirements as set forth by each organ-specific transplant steering committee as well as meeting external requirements regarding Transplant Services as defined by UNOS, TJC, Medicare, and Medicaid in each respective area.Works closely with physiciansto ensure high quality services are provided by each of the programs.
_Education_: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing Note: Current MHS employees who completed a Nursing Diploma or Associates in Nursing degree program who are currently in a Nurse Director position have until 1/1/2014 to meet BSN education requirements.
2._Experience_: * Minimum of 5 years of direct care experience as Registered Nurse with two years’ experience in transplant services management/administration. 3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
4._Preferred_: * Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field * Five years or more experience in transplant management/administration. *Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:* * Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas. * Must have Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
