Marsh's Multinational Team is seeking an Account Manager

This individual will serve as the Account manager for several clients within property, casualty and FINPRO accounts, The Account manager implements action plans, monitors progress, assures service meets or exceeds expectations and protects the Firm from Errors & Omissions.

Drafts essential comprehensive project documents intended for clients including: white papers, approaches, quantitative financial analyses or general presentations on new subjects or opportunities to support the creation of sales opportunities and account backing.

Conducts research on various markets or industries as designated to find resources on new growth areas and trends for expansion for internal use to identify growth opportunities.

Conducts and refines data analyses to support proposal creation and account-facing presentations.

Addresses escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, helps manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks and applies judgement as to when to escalate major issues to senior level colleagues ensuring compliance.

Offers technical and transactional support for complex or high-priority relationships when needed to ensure relationship satisfaction and facilitate a mutual internal and external understanding.

Develops strong relationships with professional counterparts at client organizations.

Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company.


Under the direction of the Incoming Multinational Client Executive, provides day-to-day client service over the phone and via email by anticipating client needs and responding to client questions or issues, in a timely manner. Gathers information from clients, related to risk management and commercial insurance needs. Assesses client’s risk and reviews and analyzes their exposures, loss experience and current coverage’s; recommends appropriate coverage products and services. Understands Multinational model with respect to global program and fronted policy arrangements. Expands client relationships by analyzing, communicating and eliminating coverage gaps, ensuring that a client’s risk is being managed in an optimal manner. Implements and maintains a quality service plan ensuring the accuracy of binders (processing), policies(checking), and other relevant documents. Creates and presents renewal proposals to existing clients. Conducts reviews via telephone on annual basis or as appropriate. Identifies appropriate potential carriers to approach on behalf of a client, negotiates the placement and binds coverage, focusing on optimal coverage for the client. Responsible for growth of assigned book of business through expansion/penetration activities as well as client retention goals.. Provides clients with accurate factual information utilizing appropriate resources. Makes necessary contacts, both inside and outside, of the organization in order to obtain information requested by clients. Issues summaries of insurance and manages the client’s policies throughout the policy term. Monitors the receipt of policies from markets. Adheres to a customer-focused sales and service consultative approach. Utilizes the agency management system in an accurate and timely manner to enter and maintain account information/ Ensures that all regulatory, compliance and transparency/disclosure requirements are met and complies with all internal policies and procedures. Interacts regularly with assigned office personnel and underwriters and follows up in a timely fashion. Able to perform all tasks and functions of the Commercial Insurance Assistant. Some travel may be required. QualificationsSkills

Is able to support most aspects of the client lifecycle to varying degrees – review, discovery, consultation, analysis, proposal generation, etc. Demonstrates basic business knowledge/acumen skills. Possesses the ability to grow client relationships and round out accounts. Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with remote clients, locations, and vendors. Demonstrates the ability to deliver highly technical and complex information to less technical individuals. Strong client service and telephone skills are a must. Has strong listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions in order to determine a client’s needs. Is detail-oriented with effective follow-up skills. Proven time management skills are necessary Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required. Demonstrates high proficiency in the use of company-sanctioned e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as well as navigation within the Internet. Possesses fundamental knowledge of office databases and company-sanctioned presentation software. Experience using agency management software strongly preferred. Has a working knowledge of the ACORD forms. Able to function effectively as a team-oriented self-starter in a high visibility client environment. Possesses strong problem solving skills. Has as minimum of 3 years of relevant insurance industry experience. Knowledge

Broker Licenses Required Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Possesses a thorough knowledge of commercial P&C insurance coverages.
