JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Recruiter/Human Resource Generalist will provide expertise and support for the full scope of the recruiting and hiring functions, as well as perform generalist duties at the professional level. This includes recruiting, screening, onboarding, orientation, and additional generalist functions. The Recruiter will build candidate pools, identify potential candidates, and use cost-effective sourcing techniques to attract applicants. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities will include sourcing candidates, screening of resumes, scheduling interviews, and supporting the Human Resources Director with employee relations matters.

  • Align job descriptions with the current/future needs of the organization.

  • Collaborate with other leaders to identify and understand the functions and qualifications for specific job requisitions and difficult to fill positions.

  • Work closely with outside recruiters and staffing agencies to review and understand the functions and qualification for specific job requisitions.

  • Assist in the creation development of training programs and workshops.

  • Report on employee training progress to department management and supervisors.

  • Consult with leaders regarding employee performance, employee conduct and general employee relations.

  • Maintain and coordinate performance management and employee recognition programs.

  • Maintain accurate and complete employee personnel files.

  • Update, monitor, and maintain eligible salary adjustments, including market rate increases and annual reviews.

  • Maintain and process all unemployment and workers' compensation cases.

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits plans.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an fast paced office environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3+ years HR Generalist/Recruiting

  • Experience with UltiPro preferred, but not required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and applicant tracking systems.

  • Veteran preferred
