  • Physician and Provider Relations Urgent Care Director (Generalist) *

    The Physician and Provider Relations Urgent Care Director is responsible for developing and retaining referrals from non-owned urgent care clinics and owned urgent care clinics (CareNow/others) to HCA facilities. In addition, the director is also responsible for the development of physician referrals to CareNow clinics. The ideal individual for this position will be familiar with hospital and urgent care services and levels of care and have a track record of success in the execution of retention and growth strategies for hospitals and urgent care clinics.

  • Supervises: * None

    • In collaboration with the CEO and VP PPR, evaluate and analyze opportunities for growth from non-owned urgent care inventory in the market, ensuring sales priorities are identified and developed.

    • Develop collaborative relationships between division, hospital, CareNow clinics’ and non-owned urgent care clinics’ to increase an integrated approach to growth opportunities and results

    • Work with hospital management teams and division leadership to develop organizational and individual hospital sales strategies for urgent care ER, Specialist and Worker’s Compensation volume

    • Utilize best developed practices such as the market urgent care PPR business plans and urgent care playbook for development of CareNow clinics and non-owned urgent care centers in the market.

    • In collaboration with the CEO(s) and the VP PPR, evaluate, analyze, and interpret current physician referral patterns and trends, in addition to financial results, ensuring that sales resources and efforts are optimized

    • Develop goals and timelines for new or enhanced physician and urgent care referrals

    • Create a target and territory sales growth plan to ensure that CareNow Urgent Care visit budgets are exceeded

    • Document and review of sales reports in CRM tool (sales calls, issues, targets, etc.)

    • Present and gain support and commitment from CEO(s), Market leadership, Service Line Leaders, Facility Leaders, and Medical Staff, as needed, for the sales strategic plan.

    • Complete face-to-face sales meetings with physicians, hospital leaders, CareNow directors and market managers to ensure that a thorough understanding is gained regarding the urgent care growth plan for the market

    • Complete follow-up meetings with physicians, and/or other providers as needed to develop new or additional business, ensuring that internal and external obstacles to business growth and retention are identified and minimized or eliminated

    • Prepare and present monthly sales reports, identifying trends, additional business opportunities, and obstacles to new business growth

    • Continuously modify sales and retention strategies and plans to ensure optimal outcomes for the hospitals and owned urgent care clinics

    • Provide education to CareNow clinics and non-owned urgent care clinics re: hospital services and specialist capabilities

    • Must have above average computer skills and to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of sales strategies and techniques

    • Ability to plan, organize and manage resources within prescribed timeframes (prioritize and focus)

    • Ability to present, probe and persuade and to identify and respond appropriately to primary client/customer needs (service orientation)

    • Ability to demonstrate effective listening and communication skills and demonstrate ability to close

    • Ability to provide follow-up and demonstrate attention to details and to prepare and present executive reports Ability to verbally articulate service line and product attributes and to actively listen to physician and practice needs for hospital and urgent care services

    • Prefers a minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare sales experience in medical sales. Comparable experience may be considered.

    • Prefers a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, public health administration or related field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree in Health Administration, Business or Economics preferred.
