CACI International Field Service SME in San Diego, California
CACI is seeking an outstanding Field Service Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our government customer. This position supports logistical, training, and project management of Naval Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons for Commander, Naval Surface Pacific (CNSP).
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide logistical and training support related to Naval Operational Forces (NOF) Small Arms weapon systems in the followings areas: data analysis utilizing DLA, NAVICP, One Touch, Haystack and other commonly used logistics/supply search tools; Allowance Change Requests (ACRs); Small Arms Registry; annual inventory/reconciliation of Small Arms; Small Arms receipt, issue and stowage processes; and operational and material checks to determine weapons equipment deficiencies/readiness reviews
Provide CNSP subject matter expert /project weapons logistic support through independent analysis of logistics readiness, cost-wise readiness analysis and problem solving
Conduct CNSP weapons allowance reviews (i.e. Crane Small Arms Registry, Allowance lists) and provide usage data analysis in preparation for readiness reviews; assist with any allowance product management-related issues. Identify, review and prepare Allowance Change Requests (ACRs) recommendations for CNSP weapons managed items and prepare drafts for CNSP review and release
Recommend updates on CNSP policy and instructions relating to NOF weapons logistics (i.e. SAAR, CASREP, and TYCOM Instructions)
Prepare documents for requisition and disposition of CNSP Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons and Force Protection Gear
Train military personnel on performing the annual inventory/reconciliation of Small Arms and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Train Small Arms receipt, issue and stowage processes; inventory management and procedures; material checks to determine weapons equipment deficiencies/readiness reviews
Provide technical expertise, guidance and training to CNSP ships personnel regarding regulations and operating procedures for Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons
Provide technical expertise to CNSP to assist decommissioning ships in all aspects of Small Arms accountability/turn-in/disposition
Conduct shipboard training and act as a Small Arms/Mounts Assessor for CNSP
Provide subject matter expertise for updates of various technical publications, documentation, programs, and equipment related to all Small Arms/Mounts/Crew Served Weapons used by CNSP ships
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Ten years of experience as a subject matter expert on Naval Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons
Expert technical and operational understanding of Naval Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons
Ability to conduct independent analysis, readiness analysis and problem solving related to CNSP Small Arms, Mounts and Crew Served Weapons and Force Protection Gear
Expert understanding of approved parts lists (APLs) and approved equipment lists (AELs), Small Arms Allowance Lists and Allowance Change Requests (ACRs); Small Arms Registry; Annual inventory/reconciliation of Small Arms; and Small Arms receipt, issue and stowage processes
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Five years or greater experience supporting Commander Naval Surface Pacific, Commander Naval Surface Atlantic, or Commander, Naval Surface Forces.
