Industry Development Manager

Work you ll do
Act as a learning and talent development manager on effective and leading-edge learning and development designs that align with learning and talent development strategy to achieve desired business outcomes.
Develop and execute a curriculum of development experiences through collaboration with the Development Leader, Shared Services and business leaders and managers.
Lead the design, development, evaluation, pilot and delivery of new learning and capability development programs through collaboration with shared services.
Manage resources and budgets to ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, programs, and processes. Build, manage and leverage relationships with talent and business colleagues.
Conduct needs assessments with client, determine gaps in curriculum/programs, and create / manage curriculum strategy for industry / sectors
Evaluate and recommend development options including buy, build and/or redesign as well as the appropriate delivery mechanism (e.g., classroom, e-Learning, virtual classroom, performance support, blended learning).
Lead the design, development, evaluation, pilot and delivery of new learning programs through collaboration with talent and industry professionals across the firm
Manage and execute deployment and communications in collaboration with Core Talent Services (CTS) and USI CRM in the execution of learning processes
Manage day-to-day COE-specific programs and processes, establishing tactical direction for COE specialists, CRM resources and vendor contractors
Ensure national policies, programs and guidelines are followed by team and manage escalations/exceptions, as needed
Act as a learning and talent development business advisor on effective and leading-edge learning and development strategies to achieve business goals; Build and maintain industry and sector knowledge; identifying and understanding important trends and issues so as to be a trusted advisor to industry leaders
Establish the right communications and reporting vehicles to ensure real-time and close connection to business leaders, organizational priorities and changes.
Own and manage industry/sector annual plan and budget to execute against the fiscal year plan; Manage all projects to within 1% of budget
Demonstrate initiative in gathering feedback and data from practitioners, improving learning and development programs, and constantly moving learning to the next level
Lead cross-team operational initiatives as needed, continually raising our overall performance
Travel required up to 30% during busy times

The Industry Development Manager is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact, leading-edge learning solutions that serve to support an Industry s strategic initiatives. Industry Development Managers work side-by-side with industry leaders, identifying skill gaps and building a curriculum of development education, experiences and exposure to address the strategic talent needs of our industries. As the primary learning advisor to industry and sector leadership, the ability to build relationships and collaborate closely with senior leaders, teams, and other stakeholders is critical to success. Managers must also be able to influence through relationships (not authority) and manage teams of diverse resources to execute.
