Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to help maintain warehouse inventory and assist in fulfilling orders at our San Diego facility. The role is both fast-paced and exciting as you will be directly responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders, and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. Material Handlers may be asked to work overtime during peak times of the year as well as the last Saturday of each month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in warehouse activities including verifying of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and maintaining inventory.

  • Operate material handling equipment to move inventory. Material handling equipment includes standup forklift truck, reach forklift truck, sit-down forklift truck, hand truck, pallet jack, dock lever, etc.

  • Prepare routine order picking and receiving documentation

  • Prepare and ship materials and/or finished goods

  • Follow quality protocol by mitigating picking, shipping or loading errors, palletize without damaging cartons, and ensuring customer pallets are in the best condition.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent degree

  • Radio Frequency Scanner experience

  • WMS (Warehouse Management Skills) experience

  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Willing to work overtime and weekends during end of month and end of quarter

  • Excellent attention to detail—able to verify the quality, type, and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list)

  • Able to understand and execute procedures and work instructions while applying “5S” ( Sort-Sweep-Standardize-Sustain-Safety ) principles

  • Able to interact and collaborate in a team environment

  • Basic MS Office knowledge

  • Forklift certification within the last two years

  • Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures

  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485

  • EHS experience is a plus
