The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products Group, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Payment Solutions, and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The Innovation Group, a part of PVSI, is dedicated to serving as the catalyst for transformational change across the company, focusing on fostering the growth of big ideas that will efficiently influence business models, processes, and programs in order to meet evolving customer needs. The team actively partners across the enterprise with business lines, data and analytics, operations, and marketing to provide resources, support, and visibility that will help transform business models, products, and services.

Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Solutions (AIES), part of the Innovation Group at Wells Fargo, was formed in early 2017 with the goal of enabling the enterprise to leverage AI capabilities to deliver insightful and personalized experiences for customers and team members, drive greater operational efficiency, and better manage risk.

The Business Initiatives Consultant 2 will support the Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Solutions team in Enterprise Innovation. This individual will support the AI Initiative Leader to guide, execute and continuously improve all aspects of running an effective and efficient delivery program for Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Oversee a portfolio of initiatives supporting the delivery of an AI discipline such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. Build and manage all required Initiative level supporting status reporting, financial management, milestone and resource reporting

  • Manage stakeholder and Initiative team communication cadence, ensuring consistent and smooth delivery of the Initiatives

  • Provide strategic consultation with partners in planning initiatives, activities, and priorities

  • Centralize program communications using multiple mediums for various levels of the organization

  • Support the annual strategic planning process as requested

  • Ensure adherence to required policies and procedures

  • Execution of other program requests and projects as requested

  • Partner with a vast array of stakeholders both internal and external to the Enterprise Innovation Program to accomplish stated objective

  • May lead a small team

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile

  • Strong independent thinking skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) disciplines such as Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry trends and business applications

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

  • Experience navigating through ambiguity
