Enterprise Architect Specialist

The Enterprise Architect designs architecture for an organization on an enterprise level. The Enterprise Architect defines system and application architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving ability to organization. The Enterprise Architect participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. The Enterprise Architect oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top managements. The Enterprise Architect creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Enterprise Architect has deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Work you ll do

  • Recommend and suggest improvements which optimize performance, eliminate single points of failure, and enhance viability of Enterprise to support its growing base of customers

  • Develop the plan and implement the upgrade, expansion, or replacement of the current virtual desktop infrastructure

  • Oversee full range of application migration support to include the planning, analysis, execution, and decommissioning of application migration.

  • Manage and direct consolidation of data centers to two for SIPRNET and NIPRNET, a primary and a failover for each, and the maintenance of a SIPRNET presence through an IPN for the bicoastal locations

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience

  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Experience working with business users to gather requirements, writing functional and technical specifications and communicating technical requirements


  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or other technology-related field

  • Ability to translate requirements into design specifications and experience in developing design documents

  • Knowledgeable in software quality concepts such documenting source code and software language specific code quality practices

  • Activity-Based Costing / Management model via Statistical Analysis System (SAS) modeling using advanced analytics, multivariate analysis, business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics for use in client forecasting and resource planning.

  • Cloud Architecture experience

  • Infrastructure and Security expertise

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and data flows for DoD systems

  • Security architectures and securing DoD infrastructure. Information Assurance (certification and accreditation), federal security regulations, and infrastructure security management. Architecting and migrating DoD applications to the Cloud. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential.
