This posting seeks a talented Operational Risk Consultant 5 to support governance and risk management initiatives relating to recovery and resolution planning.

The Team

The Recovery & Resolution Program Office (RRPO), part of Corporate Treasury within the Enterprise Finance & Information Technology Division, is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of Wells Fargo’s recovery and resolution planning efforts, including development of all recovery and resolution plans. The successful candidate will join the RRPO Governance and Support team that ensures that there is an effective governance structure for recovery and resolution planning, including appropriate committee structures, stakeholder engagement, policies, standards, reporting, training and awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in performance of regulatory gap assessments to Recovery and Resolution Plans and/or other internal risk management/governance documents

  • Participate in ongoing review and maintenance of Recovery Planning and Resolution Planning Policies

  • Participate in evaluation and implementation (as necessary) of enterprise policies applicable to the RRPO

  • Provide support for the administration and production of content for Recovery & Resolution governance committees

  • Assist in the Issue Management process, including generation of timely, high-quality, strategic reports updating management on the status of issues relating to RRPO

  • Participate in remediation of Issues owned by the RRPO

  • Assist in development and maintenance of training and reference materials for the RRPO and Recovery & Resolution Core Group participants

  • Maintain and update business procedures for Recovery Planning and Resolution Planning

  • Participate in updating Business Process Risk Mapping

  • Monitor regulatory and internal examinations that impact recovery or resolution planning

  • Participate in monitoring external regulatory environment and continuously assessing potential impacts and emerging risks to RRPO

  • Provide ongoing risk analysis to identify best practices and opportunities to enhance governance and oversight of recovery and resolution processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
