The SFMTA Central Subway Project is actively seeking a well-qualified, highly talented Quality Assurance Manager for immediate employment. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Quality Assurance specific to large civil/transportation, infrastructure construction projects.
The successful candidate will serve as the Program Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) as part of the Program Management team that will oversee the $1.6 billion light rail Central Subway Project in San Francisco. The QAM will implement and manage the approved Quality Assurance Plan.
Key responsibilities and objectives include:
Implement and establish a systematic approach to oversee contractor's quality control procedures and processes for the Central Subway Project.
Review each contractor's QA and QC Plan for compliance with contract requirements for its applicable scope of work that is compatible with the SFMTA Central Subway Project quality requirements and QA Plan.
Review contractor's proposed QC procedures for procurement, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning activities and make recommendations to the SFMTA regarding the adequacy of such QC procedures.
Perform audits of the selected contractors including subcontractor and suppliers and their implementation of approved QC procedures throughout project delivery phases. Provide corrective action recommendations to the SFMTA or other affected parties.
Audit contractor field inspection services; address QA issued with the Central Subway Project field and test leads and respective Contractor's QC counterpart.
Develop and submit Quality Assurance Audit Report and Monthly Quality Assurance Report for the SFMTA Central Subway Program Manager’s and Central Subway Program Director's review.
15+ years of professional experience including design and construction quality assurance experience.
Certified by the American Society for Quality as a Quality Auditor.
Rail transit experience .
Experience on large design and construction programs valued at $500 million to $1.5 billion.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
