Bank of America Senior Treasury Products Manager I in San Francisco, California
Reporting within the Advisory team in Global Transaction Services Strategy, Innovation and Advisory, the globally consistent role will be responsible for working with selected high value clients across various segments including local and multinational corporations, banks and non-bank financial institutions.
In close partnership with the respective coverage and product teams, the role is expected to develop and drive deeper relationships with clients, and consequently derive revenue opportunities, whilst assisting the client to achieve specific objectives by via best practise treasury practitioner advice and insights associated with the strategic development of the function in areas such as:
international growth and overseas expansion,
the use of shared services centers,
the overall maturity of the treasury function
operating tactics associated with intercompany relationships
considerations for debt / capital flows
Treasury system impacts and working relationships with internal and external partners.
Specific use cases could include:
Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures approach, impacts, synergies and benefits realization strategies
Risk Management methodologies, in conjunction with product where relevant, for hedging, operational contingency, strategy and debt / investment management
Procurement strategies – including RFI, RFP and sourcing approaches
Knowledge share of trends in Treasury, Finance, Sourcing or Industries and Sector
Requests for briefings on competitive insights where directly applicable
Additionally the role will be expected to contribute to brand and reputation of the bank, increasing or preserving the competitive advantage over time and therefore revenue opportunities of GTS. The core deliverables for this are:
To identify future client requirements relevant to the GTS Strategy
To develop content for use in industry whitepapers, conference attendance and presentations, and present in events, the media and press where approved which will position the bank as a core banking partner for the client that can deliver value and capability now and over time
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
The achievement of an increase in the BAML GTS advisory score within Greenwich year on year results (or other such publication where relevant)
Client feedback and insights from engagements (report or Engagement summary due within 6 weeks following onsite presence), gathered directly via the sales officer / relationship manager
Value of opportunity / prospect engagement value associated with advisory engagement requests
Comparable number of Client meetings and where invited presentations at BAML / Industry events, which support the strategic marketing and sales agendas for GTS
Validation of client innovation concepts relevant to the core strategic themes of GTS
Publication and development of new pieces of market facing collateral associated with GTS’s market strategy per half
5-20 years’ experience and knowledge of corporate treasury and/or finance, ideally within a global, multinational organization(s)
Understanding of transactional and corporate bank products and services
Systematic understanding of treasury processes, as well as other finance functions
Knowledge of the regulatory environment as it pertains to treasury activities
Advanced communication, leadership, consulting, influence and negotiation skills
Exceptional financial and business acumen
Demonstrable project management, problem solving, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Business or similar undergraduate degree (w/curriculum covering management, international business and/or finance) or appropriate industry qualifications
