The Oracle Cloud Business Governance & Planning PMO Team has an immediate opening for a new team member to support our infrastructure growth initiatives. The candidate will own and manage the development of our supplier lifecycle management programs and set the rhythm of business for the network engineering organization. They will have full ownership of the business operations plan and will ensure that all network infrastructure teams supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are engaged and contributing to this program. There is a heavy focus on data standardization, KPI and metrics management, and on working across multiple teams within Oracle including Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Strategic Acquisition and Planning, Data Center and Network Operations, and Financial Operations.

The ideal candidate has up to 10 years of experience in networking program management, technical program management, plus experience managing complex networking projects at scale, and is familiar and comfortable with hardware supply chain. The candidate is an exceptionally strong communicator both written and verbally. The ideal candidate will be familiar with planning and acquiring assets across multiple regions globally, understand how cloud providers like Oracle interoperate with other telecommunications, data center, hardware and materials operators globally, and have a background working on high visibility programs and projects. Supplier relationship management and the ability to navigate conversations with C-level members of our supplier and Oracle teams is a requirement for any candidate interested in applying for the role.

Candidate must be comfortable working across remote teams, and possess the ability to facilitate working sessions to troubleshoot project issues, drive process improvements and remove barriers to success. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or up to 10 years industry experience in networking, vendor performance management, or network acquisition (experience can be substituted for degree)

  • Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, quality, along with risk and critical path management.

  • Must be well organized and able to work effectively in an ambiguous environment and love building programs from the ground up

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Slack

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, communication, consultative, and presentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree or advanced professional degree

  • Data Center, networking engineering, systems engineering background and demonstrated excellence

  • Supplier management, negotiations, and network acquisition and strategy

  • Understanding of global networking technologies to include IP Transit, Dark Fiber, wavelengths, IRUs, peering, hardware, structured cabling, and data centers

  • Experience in management of complex technology infrastructure projects at scale

  • Experience in working for or with global cloud service providers

  • Experience with and deep understanding of program management methodologies

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
