The Business Value Strategy Consultant (ERP) will help develop business cases, define Value Realization strategies/methods and tools, support sales pursuits and proposals, and help guide/advise delivery execution and/or staff enablement for the SAP practice within IBM GBS. The role will address all aspects of Value Realization from business case development to KPI’s and benefits ownership to dashboards and reporting, etc. A key aspect of the role is to liaise with the Digital Change and Cognitive Process practice areas to align with and complement efforts aimed at end user adoption, management of change impacts, and target operating models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create business cases for large client SAP S/4 HANA programs
Facilitate Executive Alignment with clients on the program business case
Understand then refine and refresh existing VR methods and tools
Support sales pursuits and responses to RFPs
Support orals presentations with potential clients
Lead/drive delivery of business case and VR services to clients
Support, train, and enable staff in IBM GBS to build practice competency
3 years' experience in strategy consulting
2 years’ experience in financial analysis
2 years’ experience leading consulting projects, developing business cases, or driving benefits realization from improvement initiatives
Experience with SAP or Oracle applications and their integration and implementation in client environment preferred
Credibility and ability to interact with and influence all levels of organization
Strong financial analysis capabilities (discounted cash flow, net present value, IRR)
Strong understanding of financial statements, including composition of COGS, SG&A, and current assets
Knowledge of reporting and analytics processes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work on fast-paced project teams and adhere to deadlines

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5 years’ experience in financial analysis
2 years’ experience developing business cases and driving realization of benefits from improvement projects and initiatives
Experience with SAP or Oracle applications and their integration and implementation in client environment
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Operations
