Compass Transportation has become one of the largest B2B transportation providers in the Bay Area over the past ten years. In the upcoming year we will be offering a new electric zero emissionssolution as well as an on demand solution to complement our commuter offering. As a result, we are looking for someone who has the ability to manage and improve our existing operations and develop new processes to help support our new service lines.

As an Account Manager you will be tasked with managing one of our business units from an operational perspective. This position requires the unique skill set of being able to juggle operational complexities and have the soft skills to be able foster and build a partnership with one of our household name clients. The transportation industry operates 24/7 365 days a year, it’s not for the faint of heart and requires great time management and organization
Ownership of the system performance in all functions of a bus operation including on-time operating deliverables, route management/administration, ridership and client services/satisfaction
Managing the team- We are looking for someone who is able to engage and motivate their team to be a cohesive unit working towards the same end goal.
Partners with and ensures efficient, accurate, and effective communications between Operations , Dispatch, and the client.
Creating processes that lead to operational efficiencies, allow for appropriate training and development of the operators, and is in conjunction with the client’s transportation and mobility goals.
Collaborates and coordinates with the Safety Department to investigate, resolve, and prevent vehicle accidents, ensure required/necessary training/re-training, driver/route safety, and on time performance.
Metric focused – you will need to be able to analyze data to make suggestions on how to optimize routes and operations to create a better end user experience. More importantly, you need to be able to effectively communicate these proposals to the clientele.
Customer experience – We are a service provider and are looking for someone who understands the value of closing the feedback loop so that we are continually improving.
Experience as a manager or working alongside management
Preference for a degree in Business Management or Business Operations
Strong analytical skills/background, strength in Excel needed
Ideal candidates will have experience within transportation sector
Ability to translate data into digestible graphics for all levels of a corporate hierarchy
Not afraid to be on the ground and constantly on the go

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
