Oracle Target Market Product Manager – Social Impact (SI/NFP) in San Jose, California
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

- Own the creation of the winning vision and a successful strategy for NetSuite's products targeted to Not for Profit Organisations, considering the varied needs of all users of the Suite in those businesses. Lead cross-functional teams to identify product gaps, create feature backlogs and prioritize product investments by making smart, decisive tradeoffs using data-driven analysis and sound judgment.
Deeply understand the operational, statutory and organizational needs of Not for Profit Organisations and create the product and market-facing strategy to win against competitors in that market and clearly define future needs in the product
Lead the creation, definition and update of roadmaps assuming the mantle of presenting those roadmaps internally and externally in an intelligent, knowledgeable and passionate fashion
Willingness to draft Business Requirements Documents in support of your required feature functionality enhancements and backlog
Manage status reporting and the provision of release updates within the Vertical Product Management and Core Teams you lead
Be the recognized expert on the Not for Profit target market functionality within the Suite supporting Sales, Professional Services and all other teams in supporting our customers and prospects in the best use of the software and training as appropriate on new features
Participate in the New Product Introduction process across representative teams from Product Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, Support to align Market-specific execution plans to successfully rollout our products and ensure a great end-to-end customer experience
Collaborate with NetSuite executive management to get input and alignment on the vision and roadmaps and present to executive management on your vertical to engage them in the vertical and seek their approval for your initiatives and proposals
Presentations to individual customers and at customer events are a key part of your role as a Vertical Product Manager. You should be able to do these with confidence, knowledge and panache
Be a thought leader within and beyond NetSuite on the role of Cloud-based Business Management systems in transforming business operations
Support the definition and standardization of process across the VPM team through use of your experiences and
Relevant business experience working within the Not for Profit industry in a Finance, Operations or Product role a must. International experience in these areas an advantage
Good understanding of ERP, CRM, eCommerce and PSA applications and technologies, and their role in the efficient operation of a modern Software company highly desired.
Experience in managing and understanding of the implications of Grant Management, Funding. Financial Accounting and Compliance for the Not for Profit industry very much preferred
3 5 years as a Product Manager or Professional Services Consultant within the product market space highly desirable
Product Management experience around PM skills, processes, and best practices, and ability to teach to others highly desirable
Passion for and ability to understand customer needs and deliver great solutions. A track record for building products with exceptional user experience
Excellent strategic thinking and prioritization skills. Ability to create a winning roadmap to achieve business goals while making difficult tradeoff decisions
Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
Business / Accounting / Computer Science / Engineering degree required. CPA and Project Management certification viewed as a huge plus and Pragmatic Marketing certification viewed as a very positive bonus
- Domestic and International travel is required and is expected to be around 30%. International travel may be required to perform the responsibilities of the role and a passport is therefore required
