IBM is currently seeking Workday Certified Functional Human Capital Management (HCM) Consultants for our Post Production Services (PPS) organization in our growing Workday practice. Our PPS organization helps clients maximize value from their Workday investment by providing the deep domain expertise necessary to stabilize, enhance, and expand their Workday footprint. As a critical role for the client and IBM’s success, the HCM consultant, utilizes their experience to implement and integrate Workday HCM solutions for clients in a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Has a PEOPLE first focus ensuring client satisfaction, and applies this focus to all interactions with clients and co-workers

  • Designing and implementing Workday solutions based on daily client requests and larger project assignments

  • Analyze and resolve problems as they arise in a timely manner providing communication as needed

  • Successfully deliver solutions to multiple post production support clients across many Workday functional areas.

  • Anticipates the needs of clients in order to offer recommendations for Workday enhancements and feature uptakes.

  • Communicates client feedback with Managing Architects for follow up and action required.

  • Ability to provide estimates for assigned tasks, following established PPS guidelines

  • Demonstrate the configurations through the iterative development of prototypes

  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding key business process decisions related to industry and/or functional areas

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with clients. As such, travel to client sites may be required, up to 4 days per week. Preferred candidates will live within a 50 mile radius of a major airport.

Location is flexible, but preferred candidates will be located in Chicago or Boston.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 1- year experience in a Human Resources or Financial Management position

  • At least 1 year experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and system implementation

  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Ability to be actively engaged on multiple, parallel clients and projects responding to each request with a sense of urgency and meeting all SLA deliverables

  • Certification in Workday Human Capital Management or Workday Financial

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience implementing Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar applications is preferred.

  • Previous experience as either an internal consultant or with a consulting firm.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
