Verizon Wireless Equipment Analyst in Sandston, Virginia

What you’ll be doing...

You’ll manage the integrity of all equipment inventories by maintaining 98% (or better) accuracy levels on all audits by location including cell sites, switches, spares, technician vehicles, on-call kits, etc. You’ll perform audits for the switches, switch spares, etc. and perform scanning of equipment tracked for inventory. Additionally, you’ll process Inventory transfers, adjustments and purchase order receipts for all switch equipment activity.

  • Maintaining physical inventory transfers within departments and our inventory management process.

  • Processing repairs and returns, which includes the gathering, packing, shipping and receiving of RMA equipment and its accurate location tracking using inventory software.

  • Logging all incoming and outgoing parts and resolving all issues in a timely manner.

  • Communicating effectively with warehouse personnel, technicians and Engineers for all equipment movement and returns.

  • Running and analyzing weekly/monthly reports and striving to meet regional and area KPIs for inventory management and audits.

  • Recommending and implementing process improvements for increased efficiencies and accuracy levels.

  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Processes and Procedures for management of Regional and Area Inventory.

  • Overseeing/Performing accurate and timely cycle counts on Cellsite, MSC, spares, staging facility and vehicle storage locations to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Working with various vendors to expedite repair and replacement components to accomplish network repairs in a timely manner.

  • Ensuring appropriate levels of equipment spares are maintained per network engineering and vendor recommendations.

  • Working with Network Engineering and Operations, plus Staging Facility to reduce inventory of obsolete equipment.

  • Maintaining detailed documentation and tracking RMA process.

  • Working with Washington/Baltimore/Virginia market, and Staging Facility to reduce inventory of obsolete equipment.

  • Driving metrics and results that support a positive customer experience through on-time-delivery, and being accountable to Verizon`s stakeholders by optimizing supply level through forward and reverse inventory best practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Knowledge of accounting and inventory control principles.

Even better if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree, Supply Chain Certificate, or supply chain work experience.

  • Forward and reverse logistics experience.

  • Knowledge of Wireless industry products and services.

  • Two or more years of experience with product receiving and stocking, plus outbound pick, pack, and ship processes.

  • Proficiency in Fulcrum CATS and Fixed Asset Modules.

  • Experience with vendor quoting process and purchase order processing.

  • PeopleSoft project costing experience.

  • Proficiency in Fulcrum CATS and Fixed Asset Modules.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers, and leadership.
