Oracle Opower Marketing Manager - Sales Content and Enablement in Santa Clara, California

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Thrives in fast paced environment Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. 5 years related experience and BA/BS degree in marketing or technical major preferred.

We are seeking a Sales Content and Enablement Manager to enable the success of the Opower sales team. This role owns sales content and enablement to ensure that our messaging, value propositions, and sales materials continue to resonate strongly with utility clients. This role works closely with the sales, presales, and marketing/demand generation teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Buying/Sales Cycle: Understand buyer s journey and map buyer decisions / information needs at each stage

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Support overall go-to-market strategy by owning planning and execution of the right sales content by stage and buyer type

  • Win/Loss Analysis: Evaluate sales successes and failures to identify what is working and not working to improve our win rates

  • Solution Messaging/Positioning: Develop and implement high impact and differentiated solution positioning and messaging.

  • Sales Tools: Develop and deliver high-impact repeatable sales tools such as collateral, presentations, case studies, proposal language, etc.

  • Sales Training: Develop and deliver key sales training materials including internal guides and external talking points

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert to the sales team on our solutions, our value proposition, and our competitive position

About you:

  • You re creative in your thinking; you have an ability to visualize complex ideas in succinct and compelling ways

  • You have experience making and delivering compelling PowerPoint presentations

  • You enjoy teaching others and enabling them to be successful by preparing and delivering training, writing talking points, etc.

  • You are a pragmatic and practical self-starter; an outcomes oriented person who can juggle multiple workstreams, loves to problem-solve and can efficiently drive a collaborative process

  • You thrive on challenge, are adaptable/flexible, and take pride in being an excellent teammate

  • You are willing to travel to support our sales team and clients (typically once per quarter)

  • You have 5 years of relevant experience, and a bachelor's degree

  • You have experience in sales enablement, product marketing, content marketing, pre-sales, or consulting

  • You've done B2B marketing and/or created materials to equip sales teams to sell technology products

  • You have experience or exposure to the utility, energy efficiency or clean tech sectors, and are excited about the intersection of energy technology

  • You ve worked at or with software/technology companies
