Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

The Oracle Retail Customer Management Office (CMO) is focused on providing guidance to our Oracle Retail customers throughout their relationship and partnership with our organization, and then providing visibility of our customers' needs back into Oracle. The core competencies of the group focus on cloud service customer engagements, escalation management, and customer communities with an objective to enable our customers to remain successful and realize the full value of their investment with Oracle.
The objective of the CMO Project Manager is to deliver strategic cloud solutions in a timely, scalable, predictable, secure manner decreasing cost and increasing flexibility to capitalize on new opportunities and hit aggressive business revenue targets.
Join Oracle Retail as a CMO Project Manager to leverage technology and value added processes and tools to provide project portfolio management, resource management, best practices and process, analysis and reporting, and knowledge sharing.
Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners related to cloud service environment provisioning, upgrading, migrating, and eventually decommissioning of old environments. Defines project specifications, develops and updates project plans, tracks progress to mitigate risks that could impact an on-time delivery. Projects often involve network, server, database, and application build phases.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
Plan and deliver cloud service projects consistently on-time and on-budget
Provide project leadership through all phases of the project lifecycle
Effectively manage project scope, timelines, budgets and customer expectations
Determine resource needs and communicate requests for personnel
Anticipate and proactively remediate project issues internally and with customers
Act as a point of escalation for internal stakeholders related to your project when there are critical issues impacting project delivery
Partner with Cloud Operations to ensure successful transition from delivery to day-to-day operations
Strive to consistently improve customer satisfaction, delivery times and service levels while reducing costs
Prepares internal status reports for Oracle management outlining key metrics
Contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service
Bachelor s degree in a business or computer related field 3 years related experience in a best-in-class project management organization
Successfully completed multiple infrastructure and managed application deliveries
Must have a broad, strong technical knowledge which encompasses data center technologies including hardware & design, LAN/WAN networking, database, platform and application
Skills in high-level relationship building are important. The candidate needs to be able to interact with individuals from all levels of an organization from engineers to executives to deliver results within a matrix business environment
Comfortable discussing technical concepts with business people and business concepts with technical people able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
Strong communicator and comfortable presenting both in public and online formats to business and technical executives
Strong leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills required
Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
ITIL and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
Related experience from consulting services, product support, SaaS and cloud based environment management, data center environment management, or product development is preferred
Previous experience with Oracle Retail applications and/or Software-as-a-Service solutions is preferred
A good understanding of an implementation cycle is preferred
Strong verbal and written language skills will be well-utilized in this role, and efficient decision-making ability is essential
Occasional travel may be needed (less than 5%)
Primary work location is flexible within the U.S. based in an Oracle or home office. Preference towards city locations near where Oracle Retail has offices: Atlanta GA, Austin TX, Boston MA, Cleveland OH, Columbia MD, Minneapolis MN.
