Under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager, this position is responsible for independently maintaining all day-to-day functions in a SupplyWork s Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) facility as an embedded resource to major customer. In this role, the individual will be responsible for contributing to sales growth within the account as well as ensuring that customer's needs are met through filling customer orders, receiving in inventory, checking out inventory as well as completing the proper control reports.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
25%- Collaborate with customer to meet supply needs, handle quotes and order status updates.
20%- Utilize inventory management software to effectively manage customer s inventory. Timely and accurate fulfillment of daily replenishment orders for the customer.
20%- Properly receive daily replenishment and branch transfers to maintain accurate inventory. Monitor and adjust Min / Max levels on an ongoing basis to maintain the proper levels of inventory.
10%- Maintain a clean and professional warehouse.
20%- Recognize and communicate to local sales and Stockwise management both market and customer business conditions. Communicate with the customer about product stocking levels and seasonal fluctuations to ensure there are no outages.
5%- Assist in establishing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for location.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
BA or BS Degree preferred.
Counter sales experience preferred, preferably in Plumbing, HVAC, Hardware or Electrical environment.
Experience working in a medical facility is preferred.
Product knowledge of Hardware, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical items is desired.
Warehouse / Operations management experience.
Ability to lift 60 pounds or more.
Ability to effectively manage time and branch operations.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Exceptional intrapersonal skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Computer literate especially with MS office programs.
