Eaton Corporation Sr. Cost Accountant in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico
Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility.
The Sr. Cost Accountant is responsible for

Some activities related with the position will be:
Ensure complete in a monthly basis Balance Sheet Reconciliations for multiple ledgers and legal entities in accordance with Eaton Financial Policy.
Ensure proper register & reconciliation of payroll and benefits, between TRESS ERP and SAP Financial modules, travel and expense processing.
Ensure compliance of accounts payable activities, such as: invoice processing, debit memo processing, management of the monthly cash out flows, recurring payment and supplier payment follow-up activities, payroll and benefits, travel and expense processing, hold resolution, and compliance with electronic invoicing regulations and addressing supplier payment issues, among others.
Ensure compliance of Intercompany activities, such as: invoicing, credit memo issuance, management of the monthly cash inflows and cash applications, payment follow-up activities, and compliance with electronic invoicing regulations and addressing payable / collections issues, among others.
Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities in adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the plant.
Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure an adequate environment of fiscal compliance and internal control, across the plant. Provide compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and all applicable statutory requirements as applicable across various functions.
Coordinate and manage Mexican tax and audit compliance activities. Ensure timely submission of fiscal requirements to auditors and authorities.
Champion department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Deploy & sustain lean tools and initiatives in order to reduce waste and improve efficiency of the finance function.
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in business, accountant, finance or similar
3 - 5 years’ experience in area.
English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required
Forcing Low Knowledge.
Knowledge of US GAAP –preferred
SAP knowledge will be a plus
Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems as well as strong knowledge of spreadsheet software packages.
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, credit and collection and general accounting that enables the incumbent to solve daily and high exposure problems.
Spreadsheet and overall computer / system literacy.
Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
