Verizon Senior Analyst – Sales Operations in Schaumburg, Illinois

What you’ll be doing...

Your focus will be on our Wireless Business to help ensure that the sales team is running smoothly and executing its strategy to the fullest. You’ll analyze current results, revenue, P&L, historical sales performance, trends or anomalies. You’ll be helping us create performance dashboards that measure how well we’re doing against goals and making recommendations about what we can do better.

  • Identifying strengths and opportunities in sales performance.

  • Building models to assess pipeline trends, productivity and performance.

  • Providing data support and insightful reporting on metrics and analytics.

Responsibilities and/or essential job functions:

Tactical Communication: Use critical thinking skills to shape messaging (inclusive of verbal, written, and formal presentation) for solving complex business problems. This will require the employee to engage with Executive Leadership to strategize and provide updates, collateral, and initiatives from Sales Operations and Business Operations teams.Content Creation: This employee will also develop and manage feedback tools for resolution of Executive level inquiries. Must be proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs and Data Warehouse sources to prepare and present channel initiatives at all operation, distribution and channel levels. This content will be used with Director level and above conversations.Analysis: Detailed evaluation of data sets from SalesForce instances and other proprietary databases to enable successful resolution and reporting of essential tasks to leadership and Channel Team. Create and implement new business standards based on justification and make further recommendations to Executive Leadership for future opportunities.Project Management: Responsible for detailed evaluation and status on long-term projects, sometimes with incomplete or partial data. Must possess necessary skills to take on large projects and apply standard project management practices. This employee will need to handle delegation and operate independently as needed.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Analyzed quantitative data and written reports. Ideally, sales information for business accounts and sellers.

  • Prepared presentations and visual data displays for sales key performance indicators.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

You'll need to have:

5-8 years of experience in related field.Leadership experience preferred.Database management including advanced computer skills in Google Docs, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce, and Tableau.Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.Proven success in critical thinking.

Even better if you have…Comprehensive knowledge of the Verizon Wireless channels to include; Retail, Indirect, Business & Enterprise business units.Excellent organization and time management skills to successfully drive results in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.Comfortability challenging the status quo and managing expectations.Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and experience with workforce management platforms (preferably PeopleSoft).

Description:Responsible for managing confidential, sensitive and critical work pertaining to compensation, rules of engagement, internal communications, escalations and work-flow processes and analyzing salesforce realignment requests.Utilization of Salesforce to provide technical and analytical data and make business recommendations to solve complex issue and problems.Work cross functionally with other data driven departments to improve and implement processes and data quality. Must be familiar with and have experience applying operational processes, procedures and practices highlighting key learnings and performance impacts.Create ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from Sr. Leadership and support partners.Manage data/document archives via network drives & SharePoint.Proactively create feedback vehicles to collect frontline feedback.May interact with Business Development, Business Intelligence, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations and Business Operations teams and leadership while performing job functions.Using existing playbooks for guidance, employee will also engage GTM, Product, Training and Marketing teams to develop and refine process improvement and evaluation of outcomes.
