Summary:The Program Managerwill be the primary interface to the customer and will ensure needs are being met while continuing the success of the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Manages all operational aspects of Program Activity including; cost management, schedule management, date management, and other related program activities.

  • Serves as a principle liaison with current and prospective program customers.

  • Plans, schedules, organizes, and administers program tasks, budgets, and schedules.

  • Tracks program against schedule, budget, and phase review objectives, reports status to supervisor on a regular basis and executive staff as needed and/or requested.

  • Develops and implements recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.

  • Establishes and manages customer relationships.

  • Concentrates on the efforts associated with the contract and collaborates with the customer to integrate it with the different elements of customers overall requirements.

  • Investigates and adjusts personnel problems among program team members.

  • Provides recommendation in regard to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments, and terminations.

  • Prepares and presents Employee Performance evaluations and submits to Corporate according to company policy.

  • Recommends and/or leads new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery.

  • Ensures effective reporting and communication with the client and team as well as all customers and stakeholders.

  • Responsible for accuracy and quality of all contract reports and documents and/or deliverables

  • OverseesCoordination with HQ AMC to Develop JEP Airlift Cost Estimates and Reports

  • Responsible for managing primary contract at Scott AFB location

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of approximately 14 FTE’s in the execution of Joint Exercise Support for AMC.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience in managing requirements, contracts, operations, and personnel.

  • Experience conducting air mobility operations in an air operations center environment.

  • Supervisor experience preferred.

  • Secret Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

  • Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership, and assertiveness skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Ability to understand, track, drill-down and questions activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to help plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate AMC participation in the CEP, JEP and JNTC exercises

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and Holidays as required.

  • Working knowledge of USTRANSCOM and Theater Air Mobility operational requirements into technical planning efforts, loading AMC/C2 modeling and simulation data onto AMC/A6 maintained and provided systems (for example: Global Decision Support System (GDSS), Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS), etc.).

  • Strong working knowledge of AMC concepts and practices with regards to exercise design and coordination

Work Environment:

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
