Java Programmer Analyst
Java Programmer Analyst is responsible for application systems analysis needed for a set of business rule and operational requirements. The Java Programmer Analyst creates and approves system specifications to meet business and operational requirements. This position reports to Application Development Manager or Sr. Application Development Manager or Director. Candidates will be a part of the application development team for any internal or external application development projects.
Participate as a senior member of the application development team providing systems analysis responsibilities. Plans, conducts, directs and approves the analysis of business and/or operational problems to be solved with automated systems/applications. Partners with users, customers and/or other analysts to identify, evaluate and develop applications and procedures/scripts that test the application to ensure they meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, functional and acceptance testing with strict adherence to the SDLC. Sets standards while designing integrated and reusable solutions.
Responsible for operational and production support for applications with strict adherence to customer SLA’s. May require break fix and application patches.
Ability to take direction from senior members; Participate in QA, application and peer code reviews. Approve scope, business and reporting requirements.
Whenever applicable, work with assigned project manager to assist him/her on project planning and status reporting. Identify and communicate any appropriate project risks through appropriate channels.
Track time on projects accurately and promptly. Report weekly status to next level supervisor. Demonstrate flexibility in meeting important customer deliverables.
Understand business and operational requirements for system support and translate them into appropriate systems/application design needs.
Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
Must be a detail oriented and have analytical approach to solving business problems
Relationship management with customer management and operation teams
Ability to conduct customer meetings in-order to understand business needs
Conduct sessions with various groups resulting in clear system requirement needs.
Demonstrated ability to work in a medium and large team environment, multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates and strive for results.
4 years' experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems
4 years of business requirements management and transcribing requirements into system specifications.
Experience with designing and building system solutions and business applications with understanding of the software application configuration and setup.
2-3 years of Application development in Java, Spring framework and related front-end software.
1 years of relational database concepts and SQL.
3 years in systems analysis of complex database systems.
Working knowledge of Oracle.
Working knowledge of MS Windows Office Product Suite (MS-Project, MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Word).
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Call Center Business Operations and Healthcare background a plus.
Agile experience, a plus.
Familiarity with rules and workflow engine (i.e. iLog) a plus.
Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (JIRA / Confluence / Bamboo), a plus.
Familiar with system configuration concepts.
Familiarity with reading Entity Relationships Diagrams.
Understanding of data analysis and modeling concepts.
Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for developing business software solutions.
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Professional office environment - some travel may be required based on business need.
Schedule - core hours run from 9:00am – 5:00pm Arizona time.
Ability to work overtime occasionally - applicants must be flexible for various project assignments whenever needed.
