The Quality Engineering Reporting Specialist is responsible for leading the evaluation and testing of data and analytics reporting. Provides leadership in the development of QA processes and procedures. Candidates will be a part of the software quality assurance team for any internal or external application development projects.
Create and review test artifacts (test plans, test cases, test automation)
Testing of developed applications; defect management and release support.
Responsible for writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures.
Responsible for the review of new or modified reports, including documentation, business rules and expected results, to determine if reports will behave according to user requests and conform to guidelines.
Responsible for testing reports for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and adherence to the SDLC.
Track time on projects accurately and promptly. Report status to next level supervisor.
Lead the testing beyond the user interface through data analysis via database inspection and manipulation
Conduct and document internal and external quality assessments
6 years experience in software and/or program testing.
5 years experience of reporting and analytics, systems integration, and data governance
5 experience with database verification and integration testing
5 years experience compiling, analyzing and distributing reports regarding compliance, quality measures and business metrics
3 years experience analyzing daily health of the reporting operations. Identifying and developing insight to reduce data quality issues and process gaps
5 years experience with relational database analysis and testing.
5 years experience with authoring SQL queries.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Healthcare background a plus.
Performance (LoadRunner) and security test experience a plus
Familiarity with C , Java, EDW and HTML programming languages.
Familiarity with SAFE Agile, UML, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and XML
Experience working in a formal application development environment with an established SDLC and defect life cycle.
Familiarity with Risk Based testing concepts
Ability to interpret and understand database schemas to ensure database integrity.
Experience working with XML and EDI files.
Understanding of UML diagrams artifacts.
Experience with formal change management processes and tools.
Experience with formal configuration management processes and tools.
Working knowledge of MS Windows Product Suite (MS-Project, MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Word).
Certification in Software testing or IT Security is highly desired.
Education and Training
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Candidate is expected to work in General office environment. Occasional travel may be required. Candidate may be asked to work overtime occasionally. They must be flexible for various project assignments whenever needed.
