Line of Business Specific Job Description:
Responsible for supporting BAU reporting needs for US Trade Operations.
Responsible for collaborating with APAC and US onshore MIS Reporting Teams to review daily deliverables and to take ownership for end to end delivery of allocated reports and tasks.
Requires the development of Trade Finance reports representing Trade Transactional data, Client data, Trade Product data and Operational unit metrics.
Translates business needs into technical requirements and ensures all systems support conform to business needs and specifications.
Expected to participate in and provide consultancy on projects impacting Global Trade MIS reporting. Able to convert business needs into technical requirements.
Requires direct liaison with report requestors to clarify report requirements (Operations, Business Support, Product and Sales partners)
Brings fresh perspectives on “how” we report, leveraging data visualization tools and alternative front-end solutions to delivering back-end data.
Shares knowledge with and trains others while being receptive to the same from others.

Enterprise Specific Job Description:
Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.
Minimum 2 years Trade Operations Experience. Knowledge of Trade products

Must be able to manage concurrent efforts in a fast paced environment, adapt to changing requirements and competing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and work well under pressure
Strong communication skills
MS Excel: Requires Moderate skill level. Examples include comfort with formulas, conditional formatting, filters, pivot tables and editing macros.
MS Access: Moderate skill level with Oracle as an external data source. Examples include writing SQL with and without the visual interface, dynamic/variable criteria, nested formulas, structuring joins. Also would like (a plus would be): Writing macros and/or converting to VBA, improving security and integrity of databases, SharePoint as an external data source.
Visual Basic/VBA: Write structured code, understand scope, passing parameters, error handling, and documenting changes.
Strong analytical skills
Proven ability to talk with data users at all levels
Previous experience of working in structured data processing development (or trained at a minimum)
Past project and/or product development history
Confirmed ability to be able to work in Scranton
MS Excel: Charting and graphing, importing/exporting from other MS Office applications such as Access or PowerPoint
MS Access: Writing macros and/or converting to VBA, improving security and integrity of databases, SharePoint as an external data source.
Visual Basic/VBA: Managing References, understanding data interface parameters and protocol selection.
Micro strategy / Tableau / Others: Knowledge and practical application of alternative reporting tools
