Oracle Cloud Growth Partner Development Manager– Oracle Cloud InfrastructurePartner Product Management in Seattle, Washington

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Summary: We are seeking a Partner Development Manager in our Partner Product Management group to work closely with OCI Partners to help drive adoption of Oracle cloud Infrastructure services across North America. Preferred candidates will need to be have a mix of strong technical experience and strategic business acumen, providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our partners and customers in scaling their OCI practice. This role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to provide strategic direction and solution leadership for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

We are looking for a highly technical world class Partner Development Manager to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Product Management team and lead our North American partner efforts. Our Product Management teams work closely with the Oracle cloud engineering teams, key ecosystem partners to enable them to build, adopt, and deploy enterprise workloads on the OCI. This is a critically important role, acting as the public face of the organization, working directly with our most important and influential partners and their customers.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the following:

  • Proven ability to manage IaaS partners of all sizes, with a keen eye on scaling and growing the IaaS opportunities through partner SI channel

  • Be a partner and customer advocate with out-of-the box thinking on how to build an IaaS business by enabling the OCI partners with multiple levels of maturity

  • Proven ability to be a big thinker with acute focus on achieving business objectives. Be an Oracle cloud evangelist. Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Oracle cloud services.

  • Working closely with sales and partner leaders and cross functional teams across various business units

  • Adept at thriving in a fast paced and ambiguous environments with conflicting priorities in a start-up with in a mature Oracle type environment

  • Highly technical in their background and knowledge about cloud services, and ITIL delivery model and the ability to pass Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate exam within 180 days of joining!

  • Help our regional partners design, sell and deploy cloud based solutions for customers

  • Gain customer and partner references for running solutions on the Oracle cloud

  • Engender trust with partners, customers, field sales, engineering and management

  • Communicate the Oracle cloud story and present Oracle based solutions in a compelling way that is customized for the challenges each customer and partner faces

  • Build content and collateral to reflect our cloud investments, strategy and roadmap

  • Engage deeply with the end customers, partners and engineering organizations, to learn about the needs of our ecosystem and to provide actionable feedback to product management.

  • Broad business and technical experience in current industry cloud solutions, including how, when and why they are adopted by customers

  • Detailed understanding of cloud infrastructure technology (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and how it is used by customers and the partner ecosystem

  • Comfort performing self-directed work in a chaotic and rapidly changing environment

  • Comfortable in partner and customer settings with high-level concepts of Solution Architecture, various OCI services, and Bill of Materials

  • Experience interfacing directly with engineering teams to ensure the products they build meet the needs of the partners and customers that ultimately use them

Required Qualifications

  • Highly technical and analytical, possessing 5 or more years of sales, business development, or technical pre-sales experience or IT professional services

  • 10 years minimum selling or supporting services sales including project envisioning, planning, and scoping of work effort

  • Solid understanding of Business and IT strategy and enterprise customer approach to broad architectural challenges and opportunities

  • Expertise in implementing enterprise applications such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP either in private or public clouds

  • Deep expertise in sales management, account management, and collaboration with Oracle field sales, pre-sales, and technology partners to help customers learn and use Oracle IaaS services.

  • Ability to support short on-site customer projects proving the use of Oracle services to support new OCI-based solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive beta programs, and help customers to solve problems using cloud

  • Knowledge of other public cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCE)

  • Public profile or proven record of public speaking at relevant tech events
