Cloud Solutions Architect (JoinOCI-ObjectStore)
Object Storage Team owns the highly durable and available Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage Service, that provides unlimited scale for large amounts of unstructured data like videos, backups and logs. The Object Storage team not only develops this service from the ground up but also operates it by actively monitoring and managing availability, latency, integrity, throughput and other key metrics on a real-time basis.
There are three divisions in Object Storage: Object Storage Service itself, Data Transfer Services that allow transferring hundreds of terabytes of data at once using hard drives or specially designed appliances and Cloud Storage Gateway that acts as an NFS gateway on local network.
We are looking for a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer to help drive the Object Storage business. Activities and responsibilities will span across all three divisions.
Ideal candidate is highly technical with strong business acumen, motivated, passionate and detailed oriented, who will rise to the challenge to work with a top notch engineering team, sales, marketing and product management groups to further OCI Object Storage services and products.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Solution creation and certification
Creating sales enablement collaterals such as Q&A, white papers and presentations
Participating in the product development process to provide use cases, deployment scenarios and technical documentation of new product requirements
Ensuring necessary content, training programs, and design implementations are available to the sales and partner technical communities
Being the technical consultant for internal sales teams
Working very closely with engineering team in a dynamic and Agile environment
Who you are:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
Very strong technical background
Proven ability to understand complex and in-depth level technical situations, related business challenges, and be able to communicate strategies for effective solutions
Strong and proven project management skills
Highly experienced in Cloud technologies, existing players and solutions
Experience in Storage technologies is a plus but is not required
Experience with Big Data workloads is a plus
MBA is a plus but is not required
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
