We seek a top-notch product management leader with deep cloud infrastructure knowledge to lead product management for OCI’s User and Developer Experience team. The successful candidate will be a ferocious customer advocate and strategic leader across front-end Console, SDKs, APIs, CLIs, Orchestration, and Technical Content areas to deliver the right set of features for customers at all stages of their migration to the cloud. You will manage and grow an experienced team of product managers, and you will collaborate closely with engineering and content leaders to deliver a market-leading end-to-end customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineering and content leaders to set priorities, make appropriate tradeoffs, define roadmaps, and deliver the right set of features

  • Deliver accurate and complete competitive analyses to guide decision-making across all UDX areas

  • Work closely with customers and the field to understand customer use cases. Maintain field engagement on platform adoption blockers, and be the voice of the field into engineering (and vice versa)

  • Own and execute all field enablement, training, and engagement activities. Completely modernize field enablement activities and forums to keep up with engineering velocity

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a geographically distributed team of product managers

  • Recruit and hire top-notch technical talent to grow the team

  • Define appropriate KPIs to validate success and drive product improvements

  • Work closely with other leaders in the UDX organization to establish consistent processes and drive adoption of best practices


  • Substantial experience leading product management functions in a public cloud or online service / platform environment

  • Deep understanding of cloud competitive landscape, and customer priorities and challenges

  • Deep experience engaging with sales, marketing, and business development teams

  • Strong people management skills, and experience leading teams through transitions. Experience managing geographically distributed teams

  • Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Significant work experience in startups or fast-paced enterprise technology development environments

  • Comfort with agile, swiftly changing, dynamic software development situations

  • Strong record of recruiting and hiring top-notch talent

  • Experience measuring customer satisfaction, and making continuous improvements based on customer feedback

  • Ability to define, drive, follow, and evangelize cross-team processes

  • A history of fearless hands-on product use, and a strong customer advocate mentality

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 of software engineering or related experience preferred.
