Job Information

CBRE Marketing Manager in Seattle, Washington

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development (defined as pursuit/pitch support)

Serve as player coach

Provide overflow support

Back up team members

Lead key projects and others as needed

Leader and point of escalation for all business development projects, process, quality and resource issues across the region

Business pursuit and RFP writer, partner with the team writers and when necessary help write content.

Partner with Sales Management to determine when the team works on projects

Partner with Resource Manager to manage workflow within the team

Leadership (defined as day-to-day management of a high-performing team)

Performance management

Coaching and nurturing top talent

Managing under performers up or out

Partnering with HR on team dynamics and expectations

Stakeholder (broker, MD) expectation management

Quality control and issue mitigation

Drive adherence to recognized best practices and CBRE pursuit model, “Finishing First”

Liaison/single-point-of-contact for national business development teams

Implement ongoing business development-related process improvement, sales enablement technologies and training initiative within the team

Workflow optimization initiatives

Ownership of Knowledge Management implementation

Onboarding, training and importing/identifying best practice, tools and technology within team

Communicating best practices, tools and technology to sales professionals in the region

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to understand the strategic priorities of the business and adapt marketing tools accordingly

Ability to motivate and influence key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action

Strong writing skills and ability to adopt various cultural business practices

Ability to analyze and interpret complex business documents

Ability to engage others in the gathering and analysis of information then make recommendations that have a direct impact on the company

Commercial real estate knowledge preferred

Ability to lead a diverse, virtual team required


Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field from four-year college or university

Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training
