Infrastructure (OCI) team is a ground-up effort to build

Infrastructure-as-a-Service that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed

multi-tenant public cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on

our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute,

storage, networking, database, security, and an ever expanding set of

foundation cloud-based services. We’re looking for technical program managers

to drive a variety of business-critical programs.

As

part of the Platform Program Management Office (PMO) you will help effectively deliver business results by championing a

culture of accountability and consistent application of project & program

management practices. We are facilitators and motivators, working across

departments and offices to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and

successful delivery of programs and projects.

Ultimately we are responsible for helping teams achieve their

goals, work strategically together, and remain as adaptable as possible in a

fun, ever-changing environment. We’re always looking for ways to

optimize.

We need a Program Manager to help guide and

deliver value to a large business initiative, or multiple important

projects.

  • Plan andmanage a large program consisting of multiple complex projects. Drivedelivery of project work through other project managers..

  • Step in tomanage projects or aspects of projects within the programs you own, asneeded.

  • Partner withthe program sponsor and stakeholders to define the program OKRs androadmap.

  • Demonstrateproficiency in program strategy and execution within the business domain.

  • Understandand evangelize your program’s strategy and its benefits for OCI.

  • Anticipateand mitigate risk by conducting assessments across the program todetermine if the implementation plans meet stakeholder requirements andwill achieve strategic objectives.

  • Applyanalysis based on in-depth research and interpretive thinking. Evaluateand recommend solutions from various options.

  • Lead yourprogram team and deliver strategic value. Collaborate across OCI withsenior stakeholders and other program managers.

  • Usecommunications effectively to inform and influence your intendedaudiences. Proactively network with relevant stakeholders across OCI toadvocate for the needs and success of your program.

  • Identifycore problems or opportunities within business processes. Understand theroot cause and impacts for the project and other teams. Communicate andcollaborate with the right people to implement timely solutions.

  • Help yourproject team or other more junior program and project managers to refinetheir individual project management skills and behaviors. Provideopportunities to others to help close their skill gaps.

About you:

  • Highlyadaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive withinambiguity.

  • You have 15years of experience working as a technical program manager with experienceleading large and complex cross-functional projects in a technologycompany.

  • You haveworked closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and otherengineering teams to get high-quality products and features delivered ontime.

  • You haveexperience influencing senior management and setting expectations formajor cross-functional initiatives.

  • You arecomfortable talking about technical matters with business people andbusiness matters with technical people.

  • You aresuccessful at getting buy-in for your ideas with a demonstrated affinityfor metrics.

  • Younaturally exude team-building, motivating, and conflict-resolvingqualities.

  • Ability tomanage key customer relationships, including senior managers.

  • You cananalyze information to find trends or diagnose problem areas.

  • You aredecisive - you gather the data and make informed, critical decisionsquickly.

  • You capablyelicit high-level requirements from both business and technicalstakeholders and can translate those into an actionable plan.

  • You haveexecuted corporate-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinatedresources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processesassociated with program rollout and ongoing support.

  • You have ledmultiple technical programs for a technology company, leadingcross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring successmetrics are informing future efforts, and fine-tuning the program asneeded.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
