We are the Compute Console UI team. Our mission is to bring Compute features to OCI customers through our Console. These are features that are at the heart of what makes Oracle Cloud's services usable, including the ability for customers to provision, launch, manage, and monitor their compute services. It's a role that requires interactions with multiple teams across multiple groups and disciplines.

We are looking for experienced Front-End Developers with a passion for creating customer-centric, impactful web applications. Our features must be intuitive, highly available, and fast rendering. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with multiple teams across disciplines to develop and deliver the tools that OCI customers will use to deploy and manage their cloud services. These are critical features at the heart of what makes Oracle Cloud function.

Your success in this role will be in your ability to break down complex features into chewable pieces that are translated to great front-end applications. You are also successful at partnering deeply within a feature team, broadly across the organization, or individually in order to deliver on your commitments. Responsibilities:

  • Builds the UI components that expose Compute's features to OCI customers

  • Contributes to Compute feature design discussions and acts as Subject Matter Expert for front-end application development

  • Participates in project scoping exercises and self-manages to committed schedules

  • Documents decisions, assumptions, tradeoffs, and analyses

  • Makes updates to Compute UI components on both scheduled and break-fix timescales

Required Skills:

  • 3 years experience in web application development

o HTML, CSS, Javascript, HTTP

  • Solid understanding of browser technologies

  • Proven ability to shipping products on-time

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Willing to work in a closely collaborative, cross-team environment

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
