Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

The role provides a mixture of production platform ownership as well as dedicated development time. You will solve challenging technical problems, identify improvements and work on implementing your recommendations. You will also work directly with high level developers on projects and work to blur the lines between traditional system operations and development support.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and deploying key Services with deep focus on architecture, production operations, capacity planning, performance management, deployment, and release engineering. You will work with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our users while ensuring reliability and performance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong scripting or coding skills in a modern language such as Python, Ruby or Go

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef or Puppet

  • Experience managing container based delivery using docker, Kubernetes or Swarm

  • Experience supporting CI/CD or DevOps toolchains with tools like as Git, Jenkins, Travis CI or Circle CI

  • Experience with Bigdata pipeline technologies like Kafka, ElasticSearch/ELK, Cassandra, Spark/Hadoop, ETL

  • Experience configuring and managing load balancers like Nginx and HA Proxy

  • Experience managing infrastructure at scale

  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Able to accurately estimate efforts and deliver on time

  • Strong communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Development background in any discipline is highly desirable

  • Experience configuring and administering Kubernetes

  • Experience managing SQL and NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra, Elastic Search and MySQL

  • Experience managing cloud based infrastructure such as OCI, AWS or Google Cloud

  • Strong understanding of security best practices

  • Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field with 5 years of experience.
