We are looking for a seasoned Solutions Architect to join our efforts in reshaping the cloud services landscape across industry verticals. The broad range of CX services serve dozens of industry verticals and thousands of customers, globally. Several industries (communications, banking, professional services, hospitality, etc.) present specific engineering, engagement and regional requirements and expectations. With your deep architectural and software engineering experience, you will shape not only the future of cloud development and adoption at Oracle – but influence the global developer landscape in key vertical industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands on architectural leadership for key SaaS Vertical Solutions. Envisioning, designing and creating frameworks and tools supporting all life cycle operations.

  • Developing and setting architectural approach and standards for Oracle’s vertical solution SaaS apps and services in close collaboration with other architects and teams.

  • Define and execute on the architectural design approach that provides engineering teams the clarity on what service capabilities are built in the horizontal pillar teams; delivered in the industry verticals engineering team and owned by our global partners and customers.

  • Drive architectural integration of industry solutions into horizontal CX service offerings.

  • Working with external teams, architects and executives to define and prioritize life cycle support requirements, define and refine architecture approaches, ensure functional and performance excellence and drive requirements across the rest of the overall technical stack.

  • Develop deep technical and domain understanding, and provide architectural and technical leadership, in all areas of the Vertical Industry solutions and Cloud offerings and components.

Ideal Experience

  • 15 years of technology and architecture experience with a solid foundation in complex software system design in the area of cloud / service and SW development for Enterprise and vertical Industry solution.

  • Hands-on development skills as well as in all other technical skills necessary for excellence in all stages of product engineering.

  • Proven success in architectural leadership and design, as well as successful implementations of such.

  • Expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing scalable and distributed systems. Includes concurrent execution as well as multi-thread enterprise applications.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Experience in DevOps.

  • Strong technical acumen with creativity, good interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with distributed accountabilities and unclear precedents.

  • Deep understanding of the developer eco-system and various developer forums.

  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, global, efficient and reliable software services.

  • Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends.

  • Domain knowledge and experience on Vertical Industries like Communications, Consumer Goods/Retail and Finance.

Preferred Education

BS or MS degree in computer science or related field.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs and develops software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization

  • s long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 more years of software engineering or related experience.
