The role of Sales manager in Oracle Digital
Prime Sales Organization requires strong
field sales management experience - to ensure focus on consistent results delivery and lead team
smoothly through the sales cycle. Oracle Digital Prime Sales Manager must have
strong organizational and planning skills and experience to orchestrate right
loading of the team with a mix of hunting/closing/business development
The Cloud Sales Leader will have the opportunity
to define, evolve and develop new sales teams and business model to meet (and
exceed) business goals and expectations.
Reports to Technology Sales Director Oracle Digital Prime
Responsible for the sales team of the dedicated geography located
in the hub
Carries a team sales quota for a defined product set
Works towards annually agreed goals and objectives
The key responsibilities
of the role are as follows:
Lead and manage the Technology OD Prime SalesTeam of sales representatives
Drive and achieve sales target forTechnology Cloud revenue.
Develop the sales team through staffselection, motivation, coaching
Support team closely in sales activities,keeping sales cycle under control and being personally engaged with thecustomers
Drive territory planning with the team toensure correct target customers are identified and timely followed
Define and allocate account-responsibility, territories and targetsto the sales team.
Set goals, objectives and KPI’s and review/monitor the performanceof the sales team and take action to ensure targets and businessobjectives are achieved
Cooperate X-LOB with the relevant salesteams to fulfill Oracles Full-Stack-Strategy
Drive Sales programs execution by the teamin order to address identified target markets
Establish strong, lasting and collaborative relationships with theOracle partners/Business Development organization/Sales consulting org.
People management/leadership experience in an IT solution salesenvironment (2 years)
Must have personal direct/prime sales experience (3 years) sellingIT solutions.
Proventrack record of successfully achieving revenue goals and objectives
Experienceof managing and developing a prime sales team would be stronglypreferred
Knowledgeof Technology Cloud (PaaS/IaaS) solutions and market preferred.
Experiencein digital and social media.
.Salesexperience in volume market strongly preferred
Abilityto understand and effectively respond to customers issues and to buildcredibility and customer confidence in Oracle’s capabilities
Abilityto deal with complex problems, keeping positive problem solving attitudeinternally and externally
Abilityto build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships
Fluencyin English is essential.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
The primary focus is to direct, plan, manage and develop a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives/Managers. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across a subset of products, product lines or services directly or via partners to small-and medium sized accounts.
Manages a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives/Managers for a territory/region. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Develops working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans. Develops and executes strategic plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Handles escalations and participates directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction. Conducts sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Through understanding of Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead sales team in all areas of the sales cycle. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability. Degree in Business or Computer Science preferred. 7 years sales or sales management experience.
